I love your images this week. As a girl who is a MI native (although currently residing in NC) I am just in awe of the beauty where you live! Our landscapes aren’t nearly as breathtaking!

I also love the little imperfections children often have. It almost makes me sad when parents expect perfect hair, perfect outfits, perfect smiles, and perfect behavior during portrait sessions… they are CHILDREN. Let them be children.

There is something so sad to me about those ones where he’s walking away from you. To me, I saw that as the “letting go of perfect.” watching sweet perfection walking away. This transitional time between toddlerhood and boyhood is so bittersweet! My boys are five, and I’m trying so hard to hold on to those moments where they still want to be little. Just LOVE these!
