28 Today & 6 Tomorrow

This is me.

Chris took this picture on Sunday. It was raining, and I was able to use my umbrella for the first time.

Don’t you love the face I am making? I think I was trying to smile and talk at the same time! HA

Just a word of advice don’t try to do both at the same time because then you look funny…

If you notice the Aspen tree says CW + KE Aug. 7 ’04. Kip carved this in the tree on my birthday six years ago. It was our rehearsal dinner, and then we were married the next day right under these trees.

I have lots of goals for this coming year. I want to read my bible more. I want to save more money. I want to lose more weight. I want to be more patient with my kids. I want to be a better wife….and the list continues.

I just feel grateful that if my best laid intentions don’t work out just as planned, I still have someone who dearly loves me.

We really do love each other. You know the kind of love that is enduring, lasting. The kind of love that just won’t end until the day we die. I don’t want to miss it being so focused on the realities of everyday life that I miss it.

That I miss being aware of how lucky we really are to love each other this much.

Thanks for loving me Chris even though I am impulsive, gushy & kind of a dork sometimes.

You make me a better person.

Love, Kate

I love what you wrote above. I feel much the same way. Chuck and I have been married for 45 years, they have flown by we do believe. We would be nothing without each other, I know that. It was always intended to be that way, I know that now also. We have always worked according to God’s Plan and not ours.

I love this picture Kate. I love the sentiment even more. I think so many go through life, even if they are with Mr. Right, without ever knowing such love and pleasure and fulfillment. My husband and I often talk about how seriously sad that is. How super sweet to have a tree memorialize such a special day for you two.
