Splendour in the Grass

There is just something about a field of grass. I love it. Every session I do outside, I try to incorporate grass. It really isn't hard to find a field on the ranch. I actually have beautiful field grass growing all around my house!It is so simple. It is so beautiful in a very 'non-showy' kind of way. It doesn't distract from the person or the emotion being captured...it just enhances it. Don't get me wrong...I am all for trying new things, but I will never stray away from a few shots in the grass. It is timeless and beautiful.For this family session, I also incorporated one barbed wire fence shot. Let's face it barbed wire is very Wyoming. This little guy saw the REAL tractor parked in our driveway, and we had to go check it out.I loved meeting this family for the first time. They had a tough year, and almost lost Dad a couple of times when a normal surgery went all wrong.
