Texture

I'm taking part in a 52 Week Project with 17 other photographers from across the World. The 52 Week Project has been set up to have a new theme every week, and then each photographer interprets the theme and posts their picture every Friday at 9AM EST.Our theme this week is texture. If you are interested in reading more about our themes each week click here.It really is amazing to see how each photographer interprets the theme. You will also see some neat photographs from these ladies so be sure to click on the link at the bottom of this post to see the next photographer. You know me, and my eyelash shots! When I thought about this theme, I knew I had to use these photos of my Hazy J.Hazy J is my second son. His real name is Hazen James, but we have called him Hazy since he was tiny.He has been a thumbsucker since he was 3 months old! He is now 3 1/2 years old. We've tried to make him stop, but nothing seems to work. I've always wanted some shots of my Hazy J sucking his thumb just to remember.I know that this stage will pass, and then I will be left wishing for this time back.I will wish with all my heart that my Hazy J would say "mom I want to be holded by you," and then crawl onto my lap to snuggle. He has never had a particular blanket or stuffed animal that he has to snuggle. He is just particular about what part of the blanket he snuggles. It has to be the corner, and he will stick it in his ear or run it across his face all while he is sucking his thumb. If a blanket is no where to be found, he will use the bottom of his shirt or someone elses shirt collar. I've even seen him take his socks off to snuggle while he is strapped in his carseat. Now head over and check out Doniphan, NE child photographer Jessica Richter's blog to see how she interpreted the theme this week!
