SOOC
I'm participating in a 52 week project with 17 other photographers. We have a theme each week, and post a picture every Friday at 9AM Est.Our theme this week is SOOC.If you are interested in reading more about our themes each week click here.If you don't know what SOOC means it simply stands for straight out of camera.I had to google it the first time I saw it!I took this image in January 2010. It was one of the first shots I ever took with my newly purchased DSLR.I didn't know what white balance meant, and had my camera set on tungston. Oops! I still love this image because it captures my Hazy J's eyelashes, and his sweet nature.I've included this shot because I think it is important for people to see that you can't possibly understand everything when you start. You just have to do the best you can with what you know at the time!I just took this image on Tuesday when we were heading home after receiving yearlings. Fischer exclaimed "take a picture of us running in the field."I just directed them to run towards our house. This image is special to me for many reasons...the puffy clouds of Wyoming...the view of our home in the distance...the special moment with my boys who are changing and growing so quickly! (Too quickly if you ask me)If you are interested in seeing this image after pp'ing along with other images from our day of receiving cattle just click here. Now head over to Coastal Bend photographer Kelly Whatley's blog to see her beautiful picture.
