Newness & my January Project

It is Friday again, and that means it is time to post an image for the 52 Week Project. The theme this week is newness. My goal of posting on my blog everyday in January went out the window this week. At least I took pictures everyday even if I didn't post them.My mom & sister were here all week, and I didn't spend alot of time on the computer. It was really fun to have them for all of Fischer's birthday festivities. So my take on the theme this week is a new awareness. It takes a bit of planning to have your camera ready. It isn't hard, but you do have to be aware. I even sped back to the house one day as I was heading to pick up Fischer from the bus. I used to scrapbook alot before I started my photography business. There is only so much time in a day that I want to spend on the computer so I haven't made a digital scrapbook page for a long time. This project is my way of 'scrapbooking' our lives right now. I can't wait to see the finished project when it is all printed. Here is a sneak peek into our lives on the ranch this past week. It was a busy, chaotic, fun time. I think mom counted at least 24 kids that were at our house for Fischer's party. We also brought cupcakes to his class, and were able to be apart of his birthday spotlight. I just now realized that I only put 5 fish on the cake. I meant to have the same number of fish as the number. Whoops!Yesterday I was very aware of how dirty my car was compared to town cars after I dropped my mom off at the airport & stopped at a nearby shopping center. Now head over to Cate Waters | Indianapolis Portrait and Wedding Photographer's blog to see her post for the theme this week. I can't wait to go through the circle as I missed doing it last week since mom was here. I stayed off of the computer as much as possible just to spend time with my family.
