Refreshing

It is Friday again, which means it is time for another 52 Week Post.The theme this week is refreshing.On Monday, we were invited to my in-laws house because Heidi & Kara were coming for lunch. Chris and I totally spaced the fact that we were invited, and when my father-in-law called at noon to see where we were...ahem...we had to make a mad dash around the house to dress the children. They were still running around in their undies & diaper! Whoops.In the mad dash, I forgot to bring my camera. After the dishes were cleared from the table, Kara headed down to the big room & started to play a few hymns on the piano. Soon after I heard my husband join in playing the harmonica.  It was beautiful to listen to the piano & harmonica blend together.Dusty fell asleep on Grandpa's lap.Hazen decided to nap on the couch and said 'Mom lay by me.' So I laid there, cuddled up with Hazen listening to the music.It was refreshing. So refreshing in fact that I decided to rush home (driving an old stick shift ranch truck!) to grab my camera. I am horrible at driving stick shift trucks, and I am happy to report that I made it to our house & back to my in-laws without killing it! Now head over to Cater Waters | Indianapolis Portrait & Wedding Photographer's blog to see her take on the theme this week.
