Veterans
"In Flanders fields the poppies blowBetween the crosses, row on row,That mark our place; and in the skyThe larks, still bravely singing, flyScarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days agoWe lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,Loved and were loved, and now we lieIn Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:To you from failing hands we throwThe torch; be yours to hold it high.If ye break faith with us who dieWe shall not sleep, though poppies growIn Flanders fields."
This flag was made by two little boys. They found a neck scarf that Daddy bought them & pinned it to a stick they found. When I saw the theme this week, I knew I had to take a few pictures of them with the flag. I never feel like I have adequate words to express my appreciation & respect for veterans like I should.I hope this picture can do it for me.Now head over to Holly Bullock's blog to see her take on the theme this week.
