Photo A Day 2013 : Day 1
I'm starting my January Project again this year. Thanks to Kristen Cook | Newborn, Baby, and Wedding Photographer for the inspiration & be sure to click over to her blog to read more about the project.Last year I made it to January 25th, and my goal this year is to simply finish taking pictures for the entire month instead of just 25 days of it.I'm taking a very relaxed approach to this project. Some days I will add a storyboard of pictures & some days there will only be one photo. Sometimes the images might be black & white and sometimes the images might be color. I know for a fact that I will be unable to blog every day because baby girl is due to join our family January 9th. I will just blog several days in a row, and thanks to light room be able to record the date & time on each photo. As long as I'm documenting something about each day, I will be happy.Kristen wrote today that the 'The exploration of the ordinary is far more poetic than may first appear.' I love this thought, and know how true it is as I look back at memories I've recorded on my own blog.We had a very relaxing 'first day of January.'a sleepover with cousins in front of the fireplace, hunting with Dad, spending time at grandma's house, petting horses, legos, naps, pretend games, journaling, preparing for baby & fixing the gutter on our front porch...hope you enjoy this peek into our ordinary first day of January.
