Judy & Jerry | 50 Years

Judy & Jerry Hamel have been married for 50 years. I appreciated that she immediately invited me to eat a Dutch oven dinner with them. She then told me the story of the cake toppers and the crochet table cloth. The cake topper belonged to her grandmother. She explained that the kids wanted to find a cake topper that reminded them of their grandma so they chose one that the little people were shorter because the ones that were super tall just didn’t fit. She chose to decorate her cake with that same cake topper for their 50th wedding anniversary celebration. They are just the sweetest couple. Judy reminded me of my Grandma Ewing. I still remember the smell of my grandma’s soap, the color of her carpet, and how she always made the best scrambled eggs. She felt like a warm hug, and that is exactly how I felt after Judy’s session. I felt like I had been given a warm hug by a sweet lady. I can’t wait to share the rest of their images with them.
