On The Shelf

This summer just seems to be flying by, and I can't believe it is already Friday again.I'm participating in a 52 week project with 16 other photographers. We have a theme each week, and post a picture every Friday at 9AM Est.Our theme this week is on the shelf.If you are interested in reading more about our themes each week click here.I don't have a ton of cowboy decorations in my house. This little shelf in the back porch holds all of the special 'cowboy stuff' I've collected over the years.A tiny set of spurs (that were given to my oldest son when he was born!)...A card that a friend of mine (who is an amazing artist) drew...A pair of special cowboy boots that were hand-me-downs when I received them, and have been worn by all of my boys...The boots are still a bit big for baby Dusty so I put them back on the shelf after a recent photoshoot with them. It will not be long though, and he will be tromping all around the house in them!I had to include two more pictures of little cowboy Dusty.He had just received his first summer buzz cut (July 13, 2011 to be exact). I can't wait to see him with his cowboy boots & cowboy hat on at the same time.I might even have to put the tiny spurs on his cowboy boots.
