Cowboy Hats & Remembering...

My 52 week post inspired me to take a few pictures of my boys last night. The light was beautiful, and I couldn't resist. All summer long...All I see...is cowboy hats bobbing up & down when I peek out the window to check on my boys. Whether they are riding their bikes, riding in the ranger or playing in their sandpile. It is still a battle to make Dusty wear his hat, but as each day passes he seems to leave it on for longer streches.Hazen also learned a valuable lesson. He left his brand new hat out in the yard, and one of Chris's cowdogs chewed it up. I ended up buying him another one. So now everyday we have to make a mud boot & cowboy hat check before they come in at night. It seems like this summer is flying by, and I can't seem to take enough pictures. This fall Fischer starts school, and it just feels like this summer is an end to an era.No longer will I have 3 little boys home all day. everyday. No longer will we be able to take off on a whim, and leave the ranch whenever we want. No longer will Fischer & Hazen spend hours just playing together. They are best buds, and I'm curious to see how it will all go when big brother is no longer home all day. It's like anything...all of these worries...but then I see how excited Fischer is to go to school. We've already planned a 'special time' dinner night together. Just the two of us. I can't wait.So here is my post to remember the time when it was still just 3 boys at home. all day. everyday.
