Elizabeth Anne
Elizabeth Anne was born at 8:18am on January 9th, 2013. She weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces, and was 19 3/4 inches long. She has a red tint to her hair, ten fingers, ten toes & little rose lips.A few things I want remember about her 'newborn days' is how much she loved to put her hands next to her cheeks. One of the first images I have of her Daddy holding her in the hospital, she has her two fists right next to her cheeks.Chris and I thought she was going to be a 'big baby,' but she ended up being a little peanut. When we came home from the hospital, I had to sort through all of her clothes and take out all of the newborn outfits as those were the only ones that she didn't swim in.Her going home outfit seemed so tiny, but was huge on her!She also must have been pushing with her left foot in a funny way inside the womb as her left foot was turned out instead of in when she was born. The nurse said 'she must have been pushing on mom's ribs' in a funny way. It is easily fixable. I just do a little physical therapy on her foot/ankle whenever I change her. These images were taken when she was 7 days old. I can't believe that tomorrow she will be two weeks old. It seems like the days leading up to her birth just dragged on and on. Then she was born & you blink & she is already two weeks old.I still have to pinch myself & can't believe that we now have a little girl. Some of the first words out of my mom's mouth and Chris's mouth were that she was 'really a girl!' :)We no longer have to wonder if it is really true. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek into her newborn session on the ranch.
